The Tabzero roadmap

A clearer path from open tabs to useful notes.

We’re building the everyday workflow first: capture tabs, organize sources and keep your notes. Here’s what exists today, what needs validation and where we go next.

Development status

Built. Building. Up next.

Follow the path from today’s tab and note workspace to beta and the first AI-assisted workflows.

A workspace for tabs and notes

The core workflow is implemented in development builds. Public availability is tracked separately.

  • Quick Card: search, select and save tabs to a new or existing session.
  • Block-based notes, saved sources, source review and interactive graphs.
  • Web Workspace folders, Markdown export and links back to a specific note or view.
  • Google sign-in, account sync, pending retries and Keep Both recovery in the extension and Web App.

Make the core ready for beta

The current focus is validating the new Web Workspace and making everyday saves and recovery dependable.

  • Validate folder persistence, note navigation and graph interactions.
  • Check repeated edits, large note collections and reconnecting after a failed save.
  • Verify account switching, sign-in callbacks and conflict recovery across surfaces.

Planned next03

Turn selected tabs into an AI draft

AI Notes is the next feature direction after core reliability. Generation is not available yet.

  • Choose tabs and a purpose: a summary, comparison, learning note or checklist.
  • Review readable and skipped sources, then edit a draft with source references.
  • Save first; close selected tabs only after explicit confirmation.

After core reliability · date not announced

Later04

Keep existing notes up to date

Build on the first AI workflow with reviewable additions to notes you already use.

  • Propose additions from new tabs with a reviewable diff and source links.
  • Preserve your writing, detect concurrent edits and support undo.
  • Explore asking a note and broader AI search after the first workflows are validated.

After AI drafts · not scheduled

Milestones show the planned order. Beta access and release dates have not been announced.

The beta milestone

Beta will focus on the core tab-to-note workflow. AI has a separate development track and is not part of an announced beta feature set.

What needs to be validated first

  1. 1Save, reopen and edit notes reliably, including collections larger than 100 notes.
  2. 2Recover pending changes after reconnecting; resolve conflicts without silently overwriting notes.
  3. 3Validate sign-in, sign-out and account switching across the Web App and extension.
  4. 4Complete browser checks and publish access instructions, privacy information and terms.
